The staff at Rural Route Entertainment understands that most artists find themselves spread thin with shows, running social media, writing and recording, which are all crucial, but leave little time for the business side of their career. With only so many hours in the day, some tasks just don’t get the attention they should. This is where we can help. We consider our artists partners and encourage them to focus on the creative side while our staff handles the critical business aspects.
Rural Route Entertainment has two goals for our artists; they are (1) increasing revenue through sales and (2) growing your fan base through engagement.
We recognize that many independent artists don’t always have the necessary time or resources to devote to keeping things moving as they would like. We will work closely with each artist to determine the best path forward for them.
Artist Management / Consulting
Rural Route Entertainment's services are tailor made to fit each artist individual needs. Below are a few examples.
- Develop artists creative vision, guide them through the industry, set goals, draft business and marketing plans, pursue record deals, agency representation, publisher representation and more.
- Oversee marketing and publicity, bios, photos, EPK, websites, advertising materials, radio tours.
- Work with booking agents and promoters/presenters/venues to draft tour routing and book show tours.
- Develop touring strategies, develop itineraries, manage tour budgets, draft and review contracts and develop promotional materials.
- Negotiate agreements and show advances.
- Oversee production of music, videos, merchandise.
- Develop a production team, location, goals, schedule, costs, timelines, and artwork.
- Oversee single, album, and other product releases.
- Develop release strategies, branding, and dates. Cultivate fan bases and oversee execution of releases with follow up tracking and measuring.
- Oversee music publishing.
- Register songs and publishing rights, negotiation publishing agreements, work with publishers on new strategies.
- Manage schedules.
Distribution

Merchandise
Our goal with merchandise is to make sure our artists have everything necessary to derive income from touring and online sales. Selling merchandise online and at live shows is part of the unique way we can help you increase album sales.
Tour Support
Development and execution of tour support campaigns (emphasis on radio, television and high-volume local press) in conjunction with artist tour stops, includes pitching and scheduling interviews, television appearances and performances, features, concert previews and concert reviews to generate event coverage in the region the event will be taking place.
The goal for our tour support efforts is to sell out each show through targeted media engagement. This is a service that can be very valuable to DIY artists and is most often overlooked. Artists who engage the media in a professional, focused manner stand a far greater chance of getting written press, increased radio airplay, and heightened electronic traffic than those who leave these vital matters to chance. Artists simply cannot rely solely on promoters to do an adequate job of selling out your show. Someone acting on YOUR behalf should personally engage the local and regional media outlets to secure interviews, airplay etc. in advance of each show.
Fan Club Administration
Rural Route Entertainment can run your fan club seamlessly through our website and with the enhancement of Interactive Souvenirs powered by MAJiiK Interactive Media. With all the capabilities of smartphones and computers, it just makes sense to offer a subscription-based club that generates recurring revenue and maximizes engagement. This gives you 100% visibility to fans who subscribe. Our artists may offer access to exclusive content or in advance to public release. Examples are new music, merch or show tickets. Linking ticket sales directly to the venue box office or pushing it directly to their smartphones gives fans the confidence that the tickets they purchase are genuine.
